Dlinkddns not updating

Sometime around November of last year (2011), the popular Dynamic DNS provider, Dyn DNS severely limited their free account offerings (See reference link #1 at the bottom of the page).

They eliminated new free accounts from being created, citing that users could still get the 14 day pro trial.

I currently have a DIR655-B1 with the latest 2.11 firmware, and my question is: Does anyone have one of the newer DIR655 hardware version C boxes who can tell me if the newer router actually automatically updates firewall and DDNS PD-Prefixes when the ISP PD-Prefix changes?

For that matter does anyone have any IPv6 capable D-Link router that does this properly?

If you are using or for your DNS service so that you can access your server using a URL, then you might have to update your DNS record at the service periodically whenever the IP address of your computer changes. This client supports both the dynamic and (near) static services, MX setting, and alternative host.

A perl based client to update your dynamic IP address at Dyn (or other dynamic DNS services such as Hammernode, Zoneedit or Easy DNS), thus allowing you and others to use a fixed hostname (myhost.dyndns.org) to access your machine.

Yes, I was bitten by this domain rate limit during renewal last week.

Having requested 5 certificates for subdomains in December I had to rerequest new certificates.

Fortunately, it is relatively easy and quick to manually update the PD-Prefix portion of the IPv6 addresses in the IPv6 firewall rules and in the DDNS client (and the DDNS client does update the Dyn DNS service), but it is still a PITA to have to monitor for IPv6 address changes and make the manual corrections.Step 5 Type in the requested information then click Create Account. Note: If you want to use a new DDNS account, please log out first, then log in with the new account.Step 6 Check your email inbox for a message enclosing your confirmation code. Try asking Lets Encrypt to increase the limit or wait 7 days. may you consider to cancel limit for service for ddns?most people use dlinkddns, so how can use lets encrypt if you dont change your policy for this site?
